Feynman Group was nominated as one of the top three finalists for the 2020 Mayor’s Bold Steps Award. The Bold Steps Award recognizes Eugene-based sustainable businesses that exceed high standards of sustainable business practices set by The City of Eugene, Eugene Mayor Lucy Vinis, and BRING’s Rethink Business Program.

Each year, local Eugene businesses certified by BRING’s Rethink Business Program are welcomed to apply for the 2020 Bold Steps Award Program. The top three selected finalists receive marketing assistance including print ads and professionally produced videos, as well as recognition from the Mayor and community members at the Bold Steps Finalists Event. Feynman Group was honored to be chosen as a 2020 Bold Steps Award Finalist for our company values and practices that benefit the environment, community, and local economy.

GreenLane Sustainable Business Network and the City of Eugene Waste Prevention and Green Building hosted the 2020 Bold Steps Award Finalists Event at Civic Winery & Wines, where the top three finalists were publicly recognized by the mayor, and attendees had the opportunity to learn about sustainable business solutions implemented by last year’s winner, Hummingbird Wholesale. The event also featured a showing of the finalists’ videos produced by Attic Media, Inc., highlighting the history and action each company has taken to support our planet.

The winner of the 2020 Mayor’s Bold Steps Award was announced during the Mayor’s State of the City Address held at the Hult Center for the Performing Arts. We were delighted to see the award go to our well-deserving friends at Yogi Tea. It was an honor to be chosen alongside Yogi Tea and Marley’s Monsters, two local companies that Feynman Group admires for their sustainable practices and positive community impact. We are grateful to be a part of a city that celebrates purpose-driven companies that operate with a triple bottom line.

As a Certified B Corporation, Feynman Group is committed to using the power of business to benefit the environment, community, and local economy. Check out our finalist video produced by the talented folks at Attic Media to learn about the bold steps that Feynman Group practices to uphold the triple bottom line – Planet, People, & Profit.
